Le Folies Bergère from Paris
This Collection is inspired by the glitz of the Ziegfeld Follies, objects that when worn move joyfully like stage costumes.
Inspired by the Folies Bergère in Paris, the Ziegfeld Follies were Broadway plays in vogue from the beginning of the century until the 1930s, represented by artists who, through different costumes expressed their personality and creativity and performed a form of light theater called Vaudeville.
Ziegfeld
Follies
These costumes interpreted the joie de vivre and the energy of the beginning of the century and were built with bright fringes, sumptuous embroideries, prominent pendants and tinkling earrings that followed the sinuous movements of the dancers.
Everything could be Ziegfeld: hair ornaments, small leather goods, a dreamy world that with its pomp and its colorful and complex choreographies directly inspired the great season of Hollywood Cinema Musicals.
“Thinking about this dimension, I wanted to celebrate platinum – a material that determined in the 1920s the love for this moon-like color – and its contemporary alter ego, the Ti_Black – a hand-brushed titanium – with a “night” and “rock” dress in which the white diamonds shine like stars.”
